Hi everyone,
For the past few years I have been reviewing books done by YA authors, It has been a wonderful experience. I loved every minute of it, meeting authors talking with fellow book reviewers, even hearing that I was an inspiration. Every part was just amazing and I grew as a writer, also I was able to share my opinion about books either good or bad.
However, next fall of 2018 I will be entering college, and I fear that I will not have the time to review books, with the speed I am going at now it would not be fair to the authors or to the people who follow my blog if I slowed down even more. I will finish the 10 books I promised then, once fall 2018 hits this blog will be put on hold.
The reason why I say hold and not taken down is because I may come back to this during summer, although I can not promise anything at this point I can say that I will miss it. This was a great school project, I enjoyed it I really did. I have advice for some of you.
To readers/reviewers:
Look for Indie authors and YA authors, there are so many hidden gems out there just waiting to be read and reviewed by you. Always make sure, to be honest, and polite in your reviews, remember authors have feelings too they put so many hours and thoughts into their books and while some may not be to your liking just keep in mind that they may have intended it for a different audience.
I hope that if Authors do get negative reviews that they will learn from it. Also know that you can't please everyone, there will always be that select few who don't like the book. But! There are tons and TONS of readers out there who will love your book. So don't get discouraged instead think ok, so now I know one audience who doesn't like it. Now I just have to find the one that DOES. There are so many different book readers who have different likes and dislikes. So don't let that one review make you stop writing maybe just look in other places.
I hope that you guys have enjoyed my years as a reviewer, I learned about so many different things. I hope that you all will encourage others to read and review, show some love to the authors. Finally, don't ever stop reading.
